A big welcome to all my customers, old and new!
I had planned to be open until the end of November this year, and then go back to take-away for my new opening after the Christmas period, around March 2025. Unfortunately, my best friend and partner of over 20 years is fighting terminal cancer, and it looks like it is winning. So all my time left with Julie is spent with her rather than cooking for my lovely guests. Please keep an eye on the website; I will be open again when the time is right. Just a friendly message to let everyone know we are now fully booked till the end of October. With that said the restaurant will be closed for a week from October 14th for some well-deserved me time. As of November, the restaurant will be shut until next year due to the fact I have nearly reached the VAT threshold and the only thing I want to be spending my money on is bottles of wine for me to drink. However, this is not the end! I just brought a new diary we are re-opening from the 14th of February for 3 nights a week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) as per usual. In the meantime, from the 2nd of November, i will be open for takeaways/deliveries every Friday, and Saturday. The full restaurant menu will be available for you to order from. I am also available if you want to host a dinner party and can't be bothered to cook. I am happy to cater to 12-20 people either in your own home or here at the restaurant. Any inquiries please email me as you can appreciate I'm taking some time out so would like to enjoy my time off. I will try to reply to all emails within 24 hours. Furthermore, I am currently in the process of creating and designing cooking classes for the winter period so watch this space as more details will be following shortly. Hello, everyone!
It's time for an update. I am 67 and a bit years of age, so I thought it's now a good time to review what I am doing! Firstly, I am off to France on Friday, June 9th, for a week. I'm going to France to meet 20 or so other old buggers for a drinking, eating, and driving holiday. The restaurant will reopen on June 16th. I am then working until June 24th, where I will be taking a long overdue trip home to my house in Austria. Once back from my trip home on Friday, July 7th, I will then only be open three nights a week, which will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I advise booking early for these, as cutting down two days, I'm sure we will fill up quickly. As of the end of October, I will be closing the restaurant until the new tax year starts in February/March 2024. Now for some good news. From July onwards, I will be available for private dinner parties from Monday to Thursday! I am happy to cater to numerous things, whether that's a sit-down dinner or a BBQ at home, or something fancier on your yacht.
